What we do
We concentrate on developing sub -10 MW wind projects, typically three or fewer turbines. We have the capability to manage all aspects of a project's development, and undertake the work at our own expense. The process is straightforward and open, and we work closely with our landowners.We are interested in greenfield sites and also commercial or industrial sites with embedded generation possibilities.
Airvolution Energy is not just 'another' wind developer. We specialise in small projects that require skill and expertise, but which are often neglected by utilities and wind developers. We believe that distributed generation is vital for the UK, and are acting on our convictions. The drive for larger projects is an important facet of this country's energy future, and this is the direction in which most utilities and wind companies have chosen to go. However smaller projects are also vital, as they feed into the local distribution network rather than the national grid. Because the electricity is generated locally, and used locally, it is not transported over large distances and hence the losses are kept to a minimum. This adds value.
